Candock athlete, Maxie Plante, wins the Riders Cup in Finland!

When Maxie Plante approached us about a sponsorship, we did not have to think too long. We immediately sensed this athlete's passion and recognized ourselves in her determination. A thriving athlete, Maxie started playing hockey at a very young age. Her grit led her to AA and AAA hockey teams, and to Team Quebec at the age of 17. She later played for the Université de Montréal Carabins from 2011 to 2013. In 2014, seeking new challenges, she started flying down thrilling Red Bull Crashed Ice courses.

From season to season, she improved and climbed the standings. On February 10, in Saariselkä, Finland, in this season's fourth Riders Cup, armed with her warmest "long johns" to face the Scandinavian cold, our Yellowknife daredevil ran some very tough races to earn her first career victory.
