Candock: A Canadian company in the UNESCO World

Candock was selected by the Apsara Authority in Cambodia to be the official supplier for a floating pedestrian bridge at the world-famous Angkor Wat temple in Siem Reap. The Angkor Wat temple is visited by 15 000—20 000 tourists daily and is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This impressive bridge measures approximately 200 m long by 10 m wide; it will provide tourists access to the Angkor Wat temple for 5 years, while the original causeway is being restored.

Candock was selected based on various key factors such as:

• Expertise and professionalism in delivering high quality projects
• Low environmental footprint and minimal visual impact to the surroundings

Blending in with the scenery was key in the decision-making process; the Apsara Authority felt Candock was the obvious choice. We are proud of how this project draws on a modern product to preserve this World Heritage Site.
